All art work done by Tracy Rayner. I am not just an art teacher, but a practicing artist as well!
Being an art teacher and mother I am always attracted to bight colors, interesting textures, strong lines and geometric shapes. Contrast within a work of art is extremely important when building these abstract works. This structures gives my work a strong sense of balance and unity to the final composition. Nature also has a big influence in my work. I am constantly inspired by the way the world has such beautiful patterns, textures and colors embedded in our every day lives.

This is my sixth year here at Hilburn! It has been an honor to work in such amazing environment with students and staff that stand out in any crowd. It's great to be a part of an innovative, growing and collaborative group of people!!
My art room is designed to encourage students to take risk in their design thinking process. It is a creative learning environment for all students to grow, create, explore, collaborate, thrive & have their imagination become reality.
This is my 16th year teaching Elementary art, and 15th year in Wake County. Art has always been a passion of mine and I love having the opportunity to work with children on a creative level each day.
When I am not teaching, I am with my friends, family, out running, making art or traveling.
I look forward to working with your child this year and expanding their love for the arts.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Rayner
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! If you are interested in volunteering in the art room please send me an email, [email protected]. I need lots of help framing, labeling and hanging your children's work and always love helping hands.
