- Students identify themes from several Aboriginal works. Some of the themes include animal X-ray drawings, common colors & shapes choice, and how all space on the paper, wood, or sculpture was used.
- Students get to see how artists use their art to express personal ideas and experiences.
- SS Connection: Students gain a better understanding on how art documents the history of local & global communities. They also compare the purposes of art in different cultures, time periods, and societies.
- Students use the Principals of Designs, including repetition, movement, emphasis, contrast, balance, proportion, harmony, and unity, in their own Aboriginal artworks.
